Holi, the festival of colours, is one of the most vibrant and joyous celebrations. It marks the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. On March 22, 2024, we at AKAL had a wonderful celebration for Holi at our office. Everyone participated in the festivities to turn our office into a vibrant canvas of joy.
Two competitions were held during the Holi celebrations, ‘ Most Colourful Holi Attire’ and ‘Best Veg Holi Cuisine (Team)’. The competitions were jointly judged by Mr Chirag Vohra, Ms Anju Butta, and Mr Partha Mukherjee. Harshika won the former, while the Tasty Titans team (Pushpinder Singh, Md Ebad, Sunita Devi, Harshika, Bhoomika, and Ritik) won the latter. Mr Pushpinder Singh was recognised for his delicious Pindi Chhole and awarded the best main course dish. Md. Ebad’s Colourful Milk Bites was also praised and won the best dessert award.
The celebration peaked when a spontaneous poetry contest broke out, followed by singing, jokes, and more merriment. The participants were all very talented and humorous, and they uplifted everyone’s mood. The celebration ended with everyone playing with gulaal.
